Morocco, Qatar sign package of agreements

Morocco and Qatar signed in Casablanca on Friday a package of agreements to stimulate cooperation in health, equipment, culture, education and information.
The agreements were initialed by Moroccan minister of foreign affairs and cooperation, Mohamed Benaissa, and Qatari peer, Sheikh Hamad Ben Jabr Ben Jassem Al-Thani, at the end of the 1st session of the two Arab countries' joint commission.
Agreements signed are a cooperation accord on health, a protocol agreement on equipment, executive programs for agreements already concluded in cultural, education and information fields and a memorandum of understanding between foreign departments.
The two states are already bound by conventions on cooperation in investments, economy, trade, labor, youth and sports, culture and arts.
The head of the Moroccan diplomacy said Morocco, which has adopted an investments law that extends several incentives to foreign investors, wishes to attract more Qatari businessmen and Moroccan-Qatari joint-ventures.
The Qatari foreign minister was received on the same day by King Mohammed VI to whom he handed a message from Qatar's Emir Sheikh Hamad Ben Khalifa Al-Thani.
