Regional-Egypt, Economics, 5/27/2002
Egypt's President Hosni Mubarak has stressed the need of revitalizing economic cooperation among the Arab states in order to establish the free trade areas and trade agreements. He explained that this would create a strong base for the common Arab market.
This was expressed by the Egyptian minister of information Safwat al-Sharif following the meeting of the economic ministerial group chaired by President Mubarak on Sunday in Cairo.
Al-Sharif continued that during the meeting President Mubarak has followed up the implementation of special projects in collaboration with Syria, Saudi Arabia, Libya, Jordan, Tunisia, and Morocco and the executive steps taken concerning these agreements.
