On the Yemeni gas project

The Middle East Economic Survey economic specialized news bulletin said that a project for Yemeni liquid natural gas might be cancelled or suspended because of the failure to find a market for it.
The Bulletin said that the Yemeni government gave the foreign consortium assigned to this project a grace period until June 16 to decide the fate of "al-Yemen company" factory for natural gas production.
Worthy mentioning that the said project whose costs are estimated at USD 2.2 billion states to build a factory for liquidating natural gas and a sea opening ( for exportation) in Balhaf area at the Gulf of Aden, 350 Km from the gas fields in Mareb. A pipeline to transport gas of 380 Km length will be constructed to transport gas to link Mareb gas fields to the sea opening for exportation.
