King Mohammed visits training center for handicapped and destitute persons

Morocco's King Mohammed VI, who was accompanied by Prince Moulay Rachid, visited on Thursday a training center for disabled and destitute persons in Casablanca to inquire about renovation works.
The renovation works, worth 2.5 billion DH (US$ 217.4 million) were supervised and financed by the Mohammed V Solidarity Foundation, which donated computers, orthopedic equipment, wheel chairs, furniture, books and a van.
Built in 1972, the center, covering a 3,400 square-meter area, comprises eight classrooms, labs for the manufacturing of skeletal deformities apparatuses, physiotherapy rooms, tanning, shoe-making and sewing workshops.
Some 500 persons, including 1/3 handicapped children are taking training courses in this center which also offers vocational training in various fields for needy boys and girls in Casablanca.
