Morocco's prince Moulay Rachid chairs frigate presentation

Morocco's Prince Moulay Rachid, younger brother of King Mohammed VI, on Thursday chaired at the military port of Casablanca the presentation of the Mohammed V frigate, recently acquired by the Moroccan Royal navy.
Speaking on the occasion, Rear Admiral Triki surveyed the characteristics of the Mohammed V frigate. He announced that the Royal Navy will acquire a new frigate that will be named the Hassan II frigate.
Prince Moulay Rachid heard explanations on the mission of the new frigate.
The 93-meter-long unit has four engines and has a 50-day fuel autonomy. The frigate can carry 3000 tons and is endowed with sea weapons, radar-shots, missile launchers, one 76 m/m canon and two 20 m/m canons. It is conceived to accommodate a panther helicon.
