Egypt-Morocco, Economics, 5/24/2002

An Egyptian tourism mission, made up of officials from the department of tourism and private operators, will be visiting Morocco in mid-June to foster bilateral cooperation in the travel industry.

The delegation, to be headed by president of the Egyptian authority for tourism promotion, Adil Abdel Aziz, will be visiting several Moroccan cities, mainly Casablanca, Agadir and Marrakesh, to learn more about Morocco's tourism potential.

Delegation members will also hold meetings with Moroccan officials to probe means of increasing the tourists flow between the two Arab states by enforcing the agreements signed in the realm.

The Egyptian delegation will conduct a similar mission in Tunisia and other Arab countries.

Egyptian minister of tourism, Mamdouh Al Baltaji, had announced recently a plan to encourage Arab tourists to visit Egypt by means of campaigns in Arab states.
