Libya rejects American accusations of sponsoring terrorism
Libya-USA, Politics, 5/24/2002
Libya on Thursday rejected the report issued by the US State Department concerning terrorism, stressing that the US reports "lacks any sort of credibility and came as a result of the Zionist pressures."
The spokesman for the secretariat of Libyan foreign relations Hassouna al-Shawish said in retaliation to the American report which classified Libya among countries which sponsor terrorism, that Libya "rejects this (US) method that aims at blackmailing and imposing hegemony."
On the other hand, Libya has launched an ambitious plan aiming at total investments of USD 35 billion for 2002- 2005 seeking to attract local and foreign capital to contribute into this plan by a portion ranging between 30 to 40%.
