Algerian, Tunisian presidents congratulate Lahoud on 2nd anniversary of victory of the Lebanese resistance in South Lebanon

Algerian President Abdul Aziz Butaflika on Thursday and on the occasion of the second anniversary of the victory of the Lebanese national resistance stressed his country's continued support for the attempts and efforts made by Lebanon to the land so far still under the Israeli occupation in the Shebaa farms of south Lebanon.

The Algerian president called on the Arab states to unify its ranks and join efforts, as well as revitalizing Arab solidarity so as to withstand the difficult conditions the Arab nation is passing.

In a similar cable, the Tunisian President Zein al-Abidin Bin Ali stressed to President Lahoud Tunisia's continued support to the Lebanese people in their just struggle to restore other occupied territories and to have its sovereignty on all parts of the Lebanese territories, according to international norms and charters.

On a separate track, the Lebanese foreign minister Mahmoud Hamoud has called on the US administration to call on the Lebanese official sources in the reports issued by the US state department concerning Lebanon. Commenting on a report issued by the US state department on terrorism, the Lebanese minister said the US administration should stay away from non- objective sources. He stressed Lebanon's readiness to cooperate and to provide the US administration with correct and precise information.
