Cabinet approves final shape of export law
Egypt, Economics, 5/23/2002
Egyptian Prime Minister Atef Ebeid yesterday discussed the final draft of the export law, which has been approved by his Cabinet.
The law will be referred to the People's Assembly (PA) and the Shura Council for final approval.
After discussions with senior officials on public shares in joint stock companies, Ebeid decided that a database be established to promote the shares for the sake of boosting the companies' performance.
Ministers of public enterprise and international planning, the presidents of National Bank of Egypt, Banque de Caire, Alexandria and Misr Bank, and CEOs of insurance companies attended the meeting.
