Al-Shara meets Norway's officials; Israeli complete withdrawal is not bargained
Syria-Norway, Politics, 5/23/2002

The Syrian deputy Premier and foreign minister Farouk al-Shara on Wednesday met with the speaker of Norway's parliament Yurgen Kosmo and with the chairman of the foreign relations committee at the Norwegian parliament in the presence of several members of the committee who represent several political parties in Norway.

During the two meeting al-Shara talked about the drastic conditions in the Middle East region due to the aggressive policy pursued by the Israeli government under Ariel Sharon, stressing that Israel's withdrawal from the occupied Arab territories until June 4, 1967 border line is not subject to bargaining.

The chairman of the foreign affairs committee at Norway's parliamentary expressed his support to the idea that the international legitimacy resolutions are the base for any discussions to attain peace in the Middle East.
