Bahrain hosts anti- normalization conference
Regional-Bahrain, Politics, 5/23/2002

Bahrain next week will host a people's conference anti normalization with Israel, to be attended by 500 Arab intellectuals and the Arab anti- normalization committee.

A statement issued on Wednesday by Bahrain's anti- normalization committee said that the third people's conference of the Arab Gulf states will be held next Wednesday and will last for three days.

The statement added that the Arab people in the Arab Gulf region will proof through the conference its total rejection to all forms of normalization with Israel and their firm confrontation to any attempts made to promote "campaigned peace."

The media spokesman for the committee Fadel al-Huleibi said that the conference aims at explaining the dimensions of Israel's infiltration in the Arab states and will concentrate on issues on means of resisting normalization at the cultural, media, economic and political fields as well as organizing a poetry evening and an art exhibition.

Al-Huleibi added that this conference came to assert the solidarity of the people and government of Bahrain with the Palestinian people who are exposed to the Israeli fierce attacks.
