Annan recommends to extend for UNDOF in the Golan

The UN secretary general Kofi Annan on Tuesday recommended to extend the mission of the UN Disengagement Observer Forces in the Golan UNDOF which are deployed along the cease fire line between Syria and Israel for 6 months to expire on November 30.
In his report to the UN security council Annan said he considers it is a basic matter to preserve the existence of these forces.
