Al-Assad: the Arabs have no other choice but to resist

President Bashar al-Assad has stressed Syria's unwavering position and that it has nothing that has not been declared publicly regarding national issues.

During his meeting on Tuesday with the delegation representing the Arab bar association and representatives for organizations concerned, the president added that Israel's intransigence position has become clear especially after the Madrid conference until the Palestinian Intifada.

He stressed Syria's support to the Palestinian Intifada and commended the national resistance in Lebanon. He said "the saying that violence should be given up should be clarified on the ground that there is a murderer and a victim and that violence for us is not what the Palestinians are doing, rather a reaction to violence and a result of violence and that Israel is the reason behind violence and the one who practices violence and at the same time it is the source of terrorism and the Arab have nochoice in their conflict with Israel but to resist."
