Arrangements for Arafat's visit to Saudi Arabia

The Saudi daily al-Watan said Monday that Palestinian- Saudi contacts are underway in order to arrange for a visit to be held to Saudi Arabia, the chairman of the Palestinian Authority Yasser Arafat during the current week.

The paper added quoting diplomatic sources in Riyadh as saying that Arafat will discuss with the Saudi King Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz and his crown prince Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz details on the Arab move mechanism to revitalize the Arab peace initiative and the Arab contacts plan with each of the American administration, the European Union, Russia and the UN to this effect as well as international situation developments towards developments of the Middle East crisis and the efforts made to resume peace negotiations between the Palestinian and the Israeli sides.
