A Gulf tour for the Iranian defense minister

Admiral Ali Shamakhani, the Iranian minister of defense has started a Gulf tour in Kuwait which he had arrived on Sunday that will last for four days during which he will be meeting with high ranking Kuwaiti officials.
The Kuwaiti defense minister Sheikh Jaber al-Mubarak welcomed the Iranian minister at the airport, noting he will discuss with them several regional issues of mutual concern and the exchange of experts and interests and studying the two countries' needs.
Shamakhani, on the other hand, said that his country is determinant to establish remarkable relations with the countries of the region so as to be able to reach a joint identification to regional threats. He added that his country will also continue to maintain best relations of friendship and cooperation with the Gulf states and that increasing of exchanged visits will eliminate the possibility of those who oppose stability in the region from achieving their targets.
