Sultan of Oman to visit Kuwait, Egypt

Sultan Qabous of Oman on Monday started a private visit which will cover each of Kuwait and Egypt and will last for two days.

A diplomatic source said that Sultan Qabous will be meeting of the ruler of Kuwait Sheikh Jaber al-Ahmad to be make assurances on his good health and also to discuss with him all issues of mutual concern, including the work progress of the Gulf Cooperation Council and the situation in the Middle East region.

Qabous is expected to leave Kuwait tomorrow heading for Egypt, where, according to the same source he will meet with President Hosni Mubarak.

Discussions will center on the grave condition the region's states is passing through following the large scale aggression against the unarmed Palestinians, bilateral relations and means of developing them and strengthening cooperation between the two states.
