Moroccan athlete wins 4th run for fun women race

Morocco's athlete Zhor El Kamch won on Sunday the 4th run-for-fun race, and succeeded in keeping her title.
El Kamch, who run together with over 8,000 women aged between 15 and 80 years, covered the 10-km-long distance in 31mn, 39sec and 27/100, ahead of Kenya's Tegla Laroupe, three-time world semi-marathon champion who showed up to encourage Moroccan women practice sports.
Thee race, held under the chairmanship of Princess Lalla Meryem, was kick-started by prestigious members of the of the "Laureus world Sport for good" foundation, including its chairman Olympic champ of the 400m hurdles, Edwin Moses. Other athletes present at the race launching ceremony included Brazilian former car race champion, Emerson Fittipaldi, five-time winner of the Olympic gold medal, Michael Johnson, together with former Olympic champ in the 400 m hurdles, Morocco's Nawal El Mutawakel, member of the international foundation and chairwoman of the sports and development association which is sponsoring the annual event.
The "Laureus Sport for Good" foundation seeks to promote sports as a cure for social ills.
