Khaddam, al-Shara review with the Canadian parliamentary delegation Israel's aggression

Syria's Vice President Abdul Halim Khaddam on Sunday received the Canadian parliamentary delegation chaired by Sarkis Assadorian, the chairman of the Canadian- Syrian friendship society and member of the Canadian parliament.
The meeting was attended by the chairman of the Arab and foreign affairs committee as the Syrian parliament Shaker As'eed, officials concerned and the Canadian ambassador in Damascus.
Discussions dealt with the tense situation in the region due to the continued Israeli occupation of the Arab territories and the brutal aggressions against the Palestinians, and Israel's rejection of the UN Security Council resolutions on investigating Israeli crimes in Jenin camps as well as obstructing the peace process.
Discussions also dealt with bilateral relations and means of developing them.
Later in the day, the Syrian foreign minister Farouk al-Shara met with chairman and members of the Canadian parliamentary delegation.
Talks centered on developments of regional and international conditions especially the continued tension in the region as a result of the policy pursued by Israel and its defiance to international legitimacy.
In this regard, al-Shara stressed the need that the international community should shoulder assigned tasks to control Israel's aggressive policy and forcing it to abide by the international will.
