Mubarak, Libyan official discuss multi-faceted bilateral relations

Egypt's President Hosni Mubarak on Sunday in Cairo discussed Egyptian- Libyan relations and means of developing and strengthening them in various fields especially in the economic and trade areas with the secretary general of the general people's committee in Libya Mubarak al-Shamekh .
Al-Shamekh briefed President Mubarak during the meeting on the file of trade exchange between Egypt and Libya and plans aim at increasing it through taking measures than can help the flow of products and services between the two states.
Following the meeting, the Libyan official said he had discussed with President Mubarak what was agreed upon during the meeting of the joint Libyan- Egyptian committee on Saturday on signing the implementation of the contract provides for founding a railway line linking the two cities of Tubrouq in Libya and al-Salloum in Egypt and to complete the land road linking the two oasis of Jaghboub in Libya and Seyah in Egypt.
He continued that his talks with President Mubarak also dealt with the electricity grid project linking the two states which has been put into actual implementation, as well as the founding of an oil and natural gas company and an oil refinery.
