New strategy to develop Egyptian exports

Egyptian SMinister of Foreign Trade Youssef Boutros Ghali said a new strategy to develop the Egyptian exports will be announced soon to remove obstacles impeding the increase of its volume.

Addressing a meeting of junior businessmen association, Ghali said that the Egyptian-EU partnership provides a framework for governing Egypt's economic reforms, scheduling trade liberalization, and modernizing industry to benefit all society.

Ghali said that the agreement contained many positive aspects, but added that Egypt could have obtained better terms if it had shown more teeth during negotiations.

He explained, however, that any imbalance could be readdressed by renegotiations.
