Bahrainis held a peaceful march towards the US embassy
Bahrain, Politics, 5/18/2002
Scores of Bahraini people on Friday took to the streets towards the American embassy in a peaceful march of protest, but the police prevented them from reaching the embassy. The protest was to mark the 40- day death of the Bahraini citizen Muhammad Jumaa during a huge march of protest in support of the Palestinians after a crowd had attacked the American embassy and burnt cars inside it in April.
No acts of rioting took place, but just several protesters beat a person under suspicion that he is an " intelligence agent" walking with them. He was wounded and was seen taken by police ambulance.
