Morocco want more financial and technical cooperation with Canada

Quebec vice-prime minister, who is also state minister of economy and finance, Pauline Marois, currently visiting Morocco, held on Wednesday separate meetings with minister of economy, finance, privatization and tourism, Fathallah Oulaalou, and state secretary in charge of posts and telecommunication and information technologies, Nasr Hajji.

Oulaalou lauded the excellent Morocco-Canada relations, and briefed the visiting delegation on investment opportunities in Morocco and ongoing reforms.

He also called the Canadian party to carry out more actions of financial and technical cooperation with Morocco, and back its efforts for development.

Nasr Hajji called for the promotion of a win-win partnership between Moroccan and Quebec enterprises.

Nasr Hajji briefed the minister on E-Marocco strategy which features five priority actions: education and training, online administration program development, information technologies for enterprises, generalize information technologies use, especially the Internet, and the set up of a legal framework for the promotion and regulation of e-commerce.

Pauline Marois underscored the friendship ties binding Morocco and Canada, and the French-speaking province of Quebec in particular, which "developed thanks to the dynamism of the Quebec-settled Moroccan community."
