UN agencies cost estimates of Israel's recent destruction of Palestinian property

Recent Israeli military attacks on the West Bank have caused $361 million in damages, according to new figures released today by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), the World Bank and the Government of Norway.
Hardest-hit by the Israeli incursions was Nablus, which suffered some $114 million in damages, according to an assessment by the three partners. Jenin suffered approximately $83 million in damages.
UNDP has recently provided $1.9 million in emergency aid to the Palestinian territory. Since its inception in 1978, a UNDP has extended some $400 million in development aid in the Middle East to help the Palestinian people.
