Arab foreign ministers to meet today in Beirut

The Lebanese foreign minister Mahmoud Hammoud has announced that the foreign ministers of the countries of the Arab peace initiative will be meeting today in Beirut and they will listen to reports from Arab ministers who visited Washington in order to give a real picture on the American stand concerning debated issues.
He indicated that the Beirut's meeting which will be attended by the Syrian deputy premier and foreign minister Farouk al-Shara and also the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt, and Morocco, the secretary general of the Arab League AL Amre Mousa and the chairman of the PLO political department Farouk al-Qaddoumi, will discuss means of revitalizing the initiative which is the term of reference for the Arabs.
Hammoud added in a statement he made in Beirut on Wednesday that the Saudi foreign minister prince Saud al-Faisal, Jordan's Marwan al-Mashaar and Muhammad Bin Issa of Morocco held talks in Washington with the American officials that dealt with the American efforts to stop the Israeli invasion of the Palestinian cities and to reset the ME peace process on the right track, once again.
Worthy mentioning that Hammoud has also made a telephone call with his Libyan peer Abdul Salaam al-Tureiki that dealt with the joint Arab work and efforts.
