Yaaloun visits Washington

Israeli Gen. Moshe Ya'aloun left Tel Aviv on Wednesday for the US in order to hold military talks with officials at the US defense department. The Israeli Hebrew language radio said that Yaaloun who was appointed as chief of staff of the Israeli army in succession to Shaoul Moufaz will be briefed on the position of the US administration concerning the region especially in regard to what the administration calls the American commitment to preserve Israel's superiority in the area of weapons and armament.
