Customs, OCP, BMCE Bank, GNS Sign E-payment Convention
Morocco, Economics, 5/15/2002
The administration of customs and direct taxes (ADII), The Phosphate Office (OCP), BMCE Bank, and Global Network Systems (GNS) signed in Rabat Monday a convention on e-payment.
The convention aims to reduce and ease administrative procedures, and adapt customs clearing to the requirements of the new economy, ADII director general, Abderrazak El Mossadeq, said.
The new payment mode is expected to facilitate the management of daily transactions for the OCP office, which makes some 1,300 customs-clearing operations annually. It will also cut costs, improve the safety of exchanges and speed up procedures.
