Equatorial storm in Oman

The Omani police found three corpses for Omani citizens during a rescue operation following an equatorial storm that hit the south of Zafar province and thereby number of killed persons increased to six.

The Omani dailies issued on Tuesday said the three Omanis were killed when rushing water carried their car on Friday into a valley and a fourth passenger was considered missing.

This equatorial storm is considered the worst which hit Oman in more than 30 years as it inflected heavy material losses in the houses and roads and destroyed plants and obliged schools in the province of Zafar to close, whereas telephone service was obstructed.
