Palestinian Authority condemns attack on Hassan Asfour

The Palestinian Authority has denounced the attacks made on Monday evening on Hassan Asfour, the Palestinian official in charge of relations affairs with non- governmental organizations in the Palestinian authority, and described the attack as "a cowardly act."
In a statement, the Palestinian Authority said that Yasser Arafat, the Palestinian authority, and the Palestinian leadership condemn this attack against Asfour.
The statement added that Arafat gave instructions to all Palestinian security departments to find the criminals who are responsible for this act in order to bring them before justice.
The statement explained that Asfour was attacked in front of his house by five veiled men and the result of wounding him in the head, hand and the leg.
