Egyptian FM stresses unwavering Arab principles

Egyptian foreign minister Ahmad Maher said that the Syrian- Egyptian- Saudi summit recently held in Sharm Esh Sheikh confirmed the Arab unwavering stances to restoring the complete Arab rights and occupied territories until June 4, 1967 border lines, adding that this summit had consolidated the importance of consultation and joint Arab efforts and giving new impetus to serve the higher Arab interests.

In a televised stated to the Egyptian TV on Tuesday, Maher explained that the recent tripartite summit focused on main objectives which are supporting the steadfastness of the Palestinian people and their Intifada in challenge of the continued Israeli attempts made to obstruct the Palestinians movement in order to achieve independence, in addition to the need of investigating the brutal massacres committed by Israel against the Palestinian people.

He added that among these objectives is to move on the basis of the Arab peace initiative which is built on the international legitimacy resolutions, especially UN security council resolutions 242 and 338 provide for Israel's pullout from all occupied Arab territories in Jerusalem, the Golan and other occupied Palestinian territories until June 4, 1967 border lines, the left occupied parts of south Lebanon, and the rights of the Palestinian refugees to return back to their lands according to the UN general assembly resolution no. 194.
