Morocco marks 46th anniversary of Royal Armed Forces

Morocco will mark today the 46th anniversary of the creation of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR). King Mohammed VI, Head of the FAR General Staff grants an eminent interest to the armed forces, continuously seeing to their training and overture onto the outside world to help keep pace with the rapid changes, MAP said.
On May 14, 1956, the late King Mohammed V, grand father of King Mohammed VI, entrusted his son, the late King Hassan II (then Crown Prince), father of King Mohammed VI, with creating Moroccan armed forces to defend the Kingdom and guarantee its sovereignty.
