Quebec economic mission visits Morocco
Morocco-Canada, Economics, 5/14/2002

A Quebec economic mission, led by vice-prime minister and state minister of economy and finance, Ms. Pauline Marois, is visiting Morocco May 13-16.

The mission, which seeks to promote Morocco-Quebec strategic partnership and foster economic ties, is made up of representatives from twenty Quebec enterprises, operating mainly in information technologies, energy and environment.

The business people will meet prime minister Abderrahmane Youssoufi, minister of economy, finance, privatization and tourism, Fathallah Oulaalou, minister of territory planning, urbanism, housing and environment, Mohammed Tazghi, minister of employment, vocational training, social development and solidarity, Abbas El Fassi, and state secretary in charge of posts and telecommunication and information technologies, Morocco's embassy in Ottawa said.

Ms. Pauline Marois and her delegation will also be visiting Algeria May 11-12 and Tunisia May 17-18.
