Al-Assad meets with Dubai's crown prince

Syria's President Bashar al-Assad on Monday in Damascus received Sheikh Muhammad Bin Rashed al-Maktoum, the crown prince of Dubai and defense minister in the United Arab Emirates and members of the accompanying delegation.

The meeting was attended by the Prime Minister Muhammad Mustafa Miro, the ministers of higher education, communications, minister of the economy and foreign trade and the minister of communications and the UAE ambassador in Damascus.

Later in the day, the president held a luncheon in honor of Sheikh Muhammad, attended by the said Syrian officials and members of the delegation accompanying Dubai crown prince.

Sheikh Muhammad arrived in Damascus earlier in the day and was welcomed by Syrian ministers, ministers of the GCC member states accredited in Damascus.

Sheikh Muhammad is accompanied by an official delegation including the ministers of state for financial affairs, and the communications and the minister of civil aviation.
