Al-Assad issues decrees to increase state employees salaries; maternity leave amended

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad on Monday issued five legislative decrees that provide for increasing wages and salaries for state workers and military men by 20%, retired people by 15% and increasing fuel compensation to 870 Syrian pounds. Other decrees also state the increase of compensation for children as follow ( 300 for the wife); 200 SP for the first child; 150 SP for the second child and 100 SP for the third child. One of the decrees also state to amend the maternity leave so as to be 120 days for the first birth delivery, 90 days for the second birth and 75 days for the third delivery.
