US vows support for founding the Palestinian state

The US has announced it supports the idea of establishing the Palestinian state despite the vote made by the Israeli Likud party on Sunday on a decision in which it rejects the foundation of such a state.

The spokesman for the US national security said that the vision of the US President George Bush to solve the conflict in the Middle East supports the foundation of a Palestinian state.

He added this is the very vision of President George Bush on the region and "we will continue work towards this vision." In a speech he delivered on April 4th the US President said that the main lines to reach a just settlement are clear; it is the existence of two states which are Israel and Palestine living side by side.
