Morocco Day in Bordeaux International Fair

The 81st International Fair of Bordeaux (France) celebrated Thursday the Moroccan day under the theme "the tea road."

Speaking at the ceremony, a Moroccan diplomat stressed the importance of the commercial ties between Morocco and the Aquitaine region, which is its 15th client and 17th provider.

Some 160,000 tourists from the region choose Morocco as a destination, the diplomat added.

The Moroccan pavilion exhibits various handicraft products, and a wide range of documents and brochures on tourism in Morocco, its project to add 160,000 beds and new sites along Moroccan shores, with the aim of meeting the target of 10 million tourists by 2010.

The Moroccan pavilion also gives complete information on investments in Morocco and various economic and legal reforms aiming to encourage investors.

Some 2,500 exhibitors from more than 50 Asian, African and European countries are taking part in the 250,000 m2 fair.
