Heads of Islamic centers and associations in south America hold 2nd encounter

Heads of Islamic centers and associations in South America and the Caribbean are holding in Buenos Aires this May 10-12 their second encounter with participants coming from 30 countries.
Opened by assistant-director general of the Rabat-based Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO), the encounter is debating the implementation of the Islamic cultural action in the west adopted by the Islamic summit.
Participants underscored the hardships facing Muslims in the west where Islam is often depicted as a violent and intolerant religion.
The ISESCO official stressed that this type of meetings serves to consolidate Muslims' ties with their faith.
