Abu al-Ragheb does not rule out abrogating the Jordanian elections

The Jordanian Prime minister Ali Abu al-Ragheb has stated that it is not ruled out not to organize the legislative elections for this year, which were initially decided in September, in case further deterioration of conditions in the Middle East will be taken place.

In a statement issued by al-Quds al-Arabi- London- based daily and quoted by the Jordanian news agency Petra, Abu al-Ragheb said that the "government is preparing concerning procedural measures on the base that the elections will be made by the end of this Summer.. But we will avoid to set a date for July."

He explained "we are avoiding a time obligation that we can not fulfil because we are facing a changeable regional condition and no body can predict what will happen tomorrow."
