Palestinian evacuees cling to return back home
Palestine-Israel, Politics, 5/13/2002
The 13 Palestinian evacuees -- as a result of the Nativity Curch incident -- who are temporarily in Cyprus stressed on Sunday their cling to return back to their homes in the Palestinian territories and their rejection to be alienated.
The media advisor at the Palestinian representation office in Cyprus said that the evacuees confirmed to him that wherever their exile is, it can never compensate them for their homeland.
The media advisor denied any of the evacuees to have had made a political statement to a Cypriot TV station on Saturday. He explained that Col. Abdullah Dawoud, the security official in Bethlehem received a telephone call from the Cypriot Segma TV station but he apologized for not giving any statement.
