Israel and the tripartite summit
Israel-Regional, Politics, 5/13/2002
The spokesman for the Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon, Ranaan Gesin said on Sunday that the statement which was issued on Saturday in conclusion of the tripartite Arab summit in Sharm esh Sheikh (Egypt) is encouraging.
In a statement, Gesin considered that what is needed is how to translate this statement practically, and indicated that it is a progress through which there can be an approach to the table of negotiations.
He added, it has become clear that the responsibility in the Palestinian territories is no more linked only to the chairman of the Palestinian authority Yasser Arafat, rather also with the Arab states.
