Iraqi purchases from Saudi Arabia exceed $ one billion

Iraq has announced that the volume of the Iraqi purchases from Saudi Arabia exceeds USD one billion, noting that relations between the two states are growing.
The Iraqi minister of trade Muhammad Mahdi Saleh said on Friday to the Iraqi daily "Iraq" that cooperation with Saudi Arabia is developing and that the volume of purchases from Saudi Arabia exceeds USD one billion.
Saleh added that there are active exhibitions organized by the Saudi producers and businessmen and that the Saudi contributions and economic and trade participation in Iraq started to flourish in light of the decision taken in the recent Beirut's Arab summit, which gave impetus to the relation with "our Saudi brothers towards deepening and enlarging ties between the two sisterly countries."
Worthy mentioning that the Iraqi weekly Nabd al-Shabab ( youth impulse) said that Iraq has welcomed a Saudi request to hold the first exhibition for the Saudi products at Baghdad's International Fair playground.
