Luxembourg denies receiving Palestinian evacuees
Palestine-Belgium, Politics, 5/11/2002

Luxembourg on Friday denied news that it had approved to receive many of the 13 Palestinians who were expelled from the West Bank after the Israeli army had lifted the siege imposed on the Church of Nativity in Bethlehem.

In a statement, Luxembourg's foreign ministry said that the possibility of receiving Palestinian citizens in Luxembourg has not been discussed.

The statement explained that Luxembourg did not receive information nor requests from any of the sides participating in the negotiations in order to receive on its territories some of the expelled Palestinians. On Thursday evening Canada also denied readiness to receive the Palestinians.
