Some Arab states citizens may be banned in future from entering the USA
Regional-USA, Politics, 5/10/2002
The US Senate has passed a law which bans the citizens of states that the US State Department accuses of supporting terrorism from entering the USA and to tighten control on foreign students. The countries effected by this decision are Cuba, Iraq, Libya, Syria, Sudan, and Northern Korea which are accused by the US state department officially of supporting terrorism. Citizens of these countries can only travel to the US as emigrants. Statistics issued by the US Congress say that 16,000 of the citizens of Iran, Iraq, Sudan, Libya and Syria came to the US as students during the past ten years.
