Al-Assad hold phone calls with Mubarak, confers with Berri

Syria's President Bashar al-Assad on Thursday evening received a telephone call from Egyp's President Hosni Mubarak during which discussions dealt with the expected Syrian- Saudi, Egyptian summit.
Earlier in the day, the President received the speaker of the Lebanese parliament Nabih Berri and discussions dealt with relations between the two states.
On Thursday afternoon, the Lebanese parliament speaker returned back to Beirut coming from Damascus after he had met with President al-Assad.
Upon his arrival, Berri briefed the Lebanese president with results of talks he held with President al-Assad which "dealt with brotherly relations between the two countries."
