Mubarak welcomes a visit to President al-Assad at any time

Egypt's President Hosni Mubarak has welcomed a visit by President Bashar al-Assad to Cairo at any time. He said that President Bashar al-Assad is always welcomed "in his country Egypt." In statements he made in Cairo on Wednesday, the Egyptian President noted the possibility of convening a tripartite Syrian, Egyptian and Saudi summit in Cairo by the beginning of next week.
President Mubarak refused to talk about the convening of any new peace conferences at the time when there are still international legitimacy resolutions and terms of references that are not implemented by Israel.
