Iraq resumes oil pumping
Iraq, Politics, 5/9/2002
Iraq on Wednesday resumed pumping of crude oil for the exportation ports on the Arab Gulf sea and the Mediterranean after it had ended one month of embargo of oil exports.
A spokesman for the Iraqi oil ministry said that it is expected to resume loading oil tankers as from today ( Thursday).
On the other hand, an Iraqi oil official said that his country gave proposals -- to selling Iraqi crude oil -- to the UN for approval but refused to disclose what the prices would be.
