Netherlands honors its Moroccan, French defenders

A commemorative ceremony was recently organized in the Dutch city of Kapelle, in memory of the fifty Moroccan soldiers fallen in action alongside their French and Dutch companions in arms, while defending Netherlands freedom during World War II.
Speaking at the ceremony, Moroccan ambassador to the Netherlands, Noureddine Benomar Alami, paid homage to the dead soldiers and the sacrifices they made to defend the values of freedom and dignity.
