Morocco elected chairman of APU ad-hoc committee

The 40th session of the executive committee of the African Parliamentary Union (APU), held in Addis Ababa, set up an ad-hoc Committee entrusted with amending the personnel statute of the pan-African institution. Chaired by Morocco, the committee will update the APU personnel statute that is 24 year old.
The Moroccan delegation to the 40th session, held may 6-7, was led by first vice-speaker of the House of Representatives, Abdelaziz Hafidi Alaoui.
The Addis Ababa, attended by parliamentarians from 35 African countries, discussed means of consolidating relations between APU members.
