Exhibition of Pharaonic artists at the Louvre , Brussels , Toronto

The Louvre set an exhibition about ancient Egypt under the title Pharaonic artists of Deir al Madeena and valley of kings during the period from April 19 till July 22.

The Egyptian ministry of tourism took part in propagating for this exhibition, tourism and culture in Egypt , being one of the basics of the Egyptian tourism that enjoys increasing flows of French tourists who are infatuated with the Egyptian civilization .

On this occasion, the French magazine L'Express published an illustrated essay on Egypt in six pages, entitled " why Egypt has charmed us ?" which was, according to the Egyptian tourist bureau in Paris, was of a widespread positive impacts.

The essay underlined the importance of this exhibition that include 350 pieces of acquisitions of Louvre and the most important museums of Egyptology .

All these are possessions reflecting the lives and works of the Pharaonic artists of the Valley of Kings, who excelled in engraving and inscribing the tombs of kings and queens. The essay highlighted that holding such an exhibition in the Louvre reflects the French people's fondness of Egypt "Egyptomania" , which has started since Champollion deciphered the hieroglyphic writing.

The essay reviewed features of charm and enchanting views in Egypt mentioning the Nile, the sailing boats, the temples that extending on its banks and asserting that Egypt is the sole country in the whole world that houses such an enormous amount of monuments.

The exhibition will be lasting for three months in Paris , then will be transferred to Brussels in Belgium from September 10 , 2002, till January 1 then to Toronto in Italy from February 11 till May 18 2002.
