Morocco to present to OIC meeting global strategy to make Islam known
Regional-Morocco, Religion, 5/8/2002

Morocco will present to the 7th conference of the ministers of Waqf (endowments) and Islamic affairs of the member countries of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC), convening in Kuala Lumpur May 6-9, a study "on a comprehensive strategy to make Islam known."

The study, in several languages, will be presented by the Moroccan delegation, led by minister of habous (endowments) and Islamic affairs, Abdelkebir Alaoui M'Daghri.

M'Daghri told reporters upon arrival in the Malaysian capital city Saturday that it was necessary that the OIC meeting, which is taking place following a series of events that dealt a blow to the image of Islam, makes known the true Islam and straighten up its image.

Other economic and cultural studies on the Islamic world will be presented to the meeting.
