Palestinian forces alliance leaders hold a press conference

The leaders of the Palestinian forces alliance have stressed "continued legitimate struggle of the Palestinian people and their just struggle against the Zionist occupation until the liberation of the occupied Palestinian territories and the restoration of the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people and the establishment of their own independent state with Jerusalem as a capital."
In a press conference the leaders of the alliance held on Tuesday in Damascus and included Muhammad Khaleifa member of the national leadership of the Baath Party; Farhan Abu al-Heija member of the regional leadership of the Baath Party Palestinian Organization; Ahmad Jibril the secretary general of the people's front for the liberation of Palestine ( general Command); Khaled Abdul Maguid the secretary of the Palestinian people militant front; Abu Nidal al-Ashqar the secretary general of the Palestinian liberation Front; Arabi Awad the secretary general of the Revolutionary Palestinian communist party; Maher al-Taher member of the political bureau of the people's front for the liberation of Palestine; Abu Fakher member of the central command of the Intifada Fatah movement; Fadel Shorouro the general supervisor of Jerusalem radio they indicated the grave conditions the Palestinian people are passing in their cities, villages and camps as a result of the fierce onslaught and the mass annihilation carried out by the Israeli forces foremost being Sharon, stressing to continue the brave Intifada regardless to sacrifices.
In the meeting which was attended by correspondents of the local, Arab and foreign news agencies recruited in Damascus. Members of the alliance hailed "Syria's steadfastness under the leadership of President Bashar al-Assad and its steadfastness against hostile challenges which aim at undermining the Arab nation and her support to the struggle mounted by the Palestinian people and their heroic Intifada until the elimination of occupation and Israel's withdrawal from all occupied Arab territories in Palestine, the Golan, and the Lebanese Shebaa farms and the foundation of the independent Palestinian state on the Palestinian soil with Jerusalem as a capital."
The Palestinian leaders:" denounced the bias of the American administration towards Israel and for not taking a stand which puts an end to the Israeli expansionist schemes and forces the Israeli government to implement international resolutions aiming at Israel's withdrawal from the occupied territories." They refused to mix between the concept of terrorism practiced by Israel and the right of people to resist occupation and defend their land.
The Palestinian leaders called on the Arab states to stand one line in confrontation of the "Zionist schemes and its expansionist plans," calling on the international community to denounce the Israeli aggression and the destructive Israeli war against the unarmed Palestinian people and providing aids to the Palestinians so as to be able to achieve their aims to liberate their land, eliminate the occupation and establish the independent Palestinian state.
